One day, a person approached the Master and asked him, Tell me, Master, how long does it take to attain enlightenment? Said the Master, Ten years. The young man was shocked. So long? he asked incredulously. Said the Master, No, that was an error. it'll take you twenty years. The man asked, Why did you double the figure? I'm prepared to figure very hard for attaining enlightenment. in case how long does it take?

There was once a really austere man who let no food or drink pass his lips while the sun was within the heavens. In what appeared to be a symbol of heavenly approval for his austerities, a bright star shone on top of a close-by hill, visible to everyone in broad daylight, although nobody knew what brought the star there. One day, the person decided to climb the mountain, but a touch village girl insisted on going along side him. The day was warm and shortly the 2 of them were very thirsty. He urged the kid to drink but she said that she would drink if he would too. The poor person was in a very quandary. He hated to interrupt the fast,
but he couldn’t see the kid suffer. Finally, he ate and drank for the sake of the kid . For an extended time he dared not search at the sky, for he feared that the star would have gone. But finally, he did research at the sky.
